Ask Liz: Honeymoon vs. Your Wedding vs. Your Budget (Los Angeles Wedding Planner)
Posted: October 5, 2012
This week’s advice column is up on The Broke-Ass Bride, take a look:
Dear Liz,
My fiancee and I have six kids – I have four and he has two. None of the children live in our home but their visits often mix with each others. Our oldest two children have explicitly asked to be in the wedding, and we’ve altered our wedding plans to accommodate them.
We are very financially strapped and had planned on going away to get married in the mountains by ourselves and combine it with our honeymoon. After the requests by the children to be involved, we have nixed the honeymoon, and figured out a place for each child to be in the wedding. But, I still need inexpensive ideas for the event it has become since we now have to furnish five kids’ suits and the daughter’s dress she wants. And I’m a full time student and work full time. I’m so lost.
Signed,
Six is Enough
