Empanadas – Reason #1818 to Love This Gig

So, yesterday morning I got a frantic call from Juliana. She’d been planning a low key-civil ceremony in front of friends and family at their house in Glendale – but she lost her officiant. Was I available?
Not only that, but since I had a first consultation earlier, I was already all dressed up for it.
While we were waiting for their witness, the mutual friend who had introduced them two years ago, Juliana fed me empanadas and chocolate dessert wine. Her friends laughed over memories of their relationship, and the fun times they’d all had together. And then, I married them right there in front of their fireplace.  I had to leap out of the way to not get run over during their first kiss!
And she even gave me some empanadas to take home with me. Empanadas are an excellent breakfast.
