Wedding Wise Wednesday – December 2nd

Every Wednesday, I post the coolest wedding stories and deals in Los Angeles and around the web. And we call it Wedding Wise Wednesday. Welcome!

I had an impossibly relaxing holiday weekend, during which I only left the house, like, twice. Vacation, all I ever wanted…

But on Sunday, I went to the first White Satin Wedding Show in Pasadena. Many props to them for holding it on a holiday weekend. It was small, but that meant that you could actually talk to all the vendors one-on-one, which I think is really important for brides. PLUS, talk about Squee, where should I start? How about here:

Alina Pizzano, whose dresses were featured in the fashion show, got together with another of the vendors in the show, Rose City Ballroom, and outfitted their dancers with her designs. So, they spent the whole show twirling, twirling, twirling in her dresses. And since the room was so small, Alina also had two other models circulating the room in her gowns. Needless to say, both booths were pretty busy. Rose City is also having a special – mention the show or this blog and get one free week of membership, and learn how to twirl around the dance floor in your wedding gown, too!

The Deals:
Okay, so Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden in Long Beach is having a having a plethora of deals. If you have your wedding ceremony there in December, February or March, their rates go down to $1995, and if you have your wedding AND ceremony during the week, Monday-Thurs, of course), you save $25%. You can spend the difference on mushroom heaters. Tell them you saw the special on Wedding Wire.
