1. Ask family members to pay for specific parts of the wedding. . Not everything, just some things. Also, have you ever considered exchanging wedding money for a better table at the reception?

Register for wedding vendors and services. Sites like A Great Affair can help you register for anything you want.

Hold a raffle. Sell tickets (at the bar!) for rides in the limo, the wedding dress, a dance with the bride and groom, etc. I’m also thinking for the flowers, and maybe extra drinks after the bar closes. I’m telling you, these are not bad ideas.

Procure Sponsors. Find a local company. Put their logo on the invites. Have the DJ announce a certain song with “This song brought to you by…” with their tag line. Have them set up a table at the reception so they can give away promotional materials. My brain just explodes with all sorts of companies that could do this. Dude, like, I would do this! As a trade even…no, I did not type that out loud.

Wash Guests Cars
Hire a student to wash your guests cars during the wedding. Skim off the top. Such a great idea. I may NEVER stop laughing. Will someone do this, please?
