Answering questions on Wedding Wire

I signed up with weddingwire.com a while ago, because it’s a really good place to send potential clients to look at reviews of my services, AND they just started feeding their content into the Weddings section at Martha Stewart.com, so boy, howdy did I upgrade in a hurry. At any rate, I just visited their community boards, and I just answered a question from a bride who is moving in a couple of months, and wants to know where and how to start looking for a place to have her wedding. This is what I told her:

Actually, this website is a good place to start. If you put in the city that you want to get married in, then it should pull up a few locations that have already been reviewed (I put in Flagstaff and got 8 places). Figure out which type of location appeals to you, and just start your research there. I know,it can be a little overwhelming when you don’t know where to start. The advice I give my clients is decide what your budget is, figure out what half of that is, and that’s how much you can spend on your reception. And STICK to that. Let potential venue know that’s your budget and see if they can work within it. If they can’t, move on.

Ready to get started? Tell me more about you and your wedding.
