Archive Monday: My favorite wedding idea is just ONE thought

This is from a Blog Hop I did back in April. Enjoy!

I love my job.  I’ve seen and helped create so many cool wedding ideas, like this one:

My bride last month found this picture on A Practical Wedding and decided to carry balloons as a bouquet. I’m waiting on her pictures, but trust me for now, it was even cooler than this.

And this one:

Yes, that’s a wedding pinata. That this couple made. Their guests had so much fun whacking it, and then diving into the candy like 5 year olds.

Ooh, and this one:

Two words: SMORES BAR. Planter, rocks, sterno cans. Easy to make, and just yummy. I may have had a few, but I will neither confirm or deny that.

These were some great ideas.
But I have one favorite wedding idea, that I’ve seen created again and again, despite any stress that happens before the big day. And it’s the one idea that a lot of couples have a hard time believing is going to happen:

Your wedding is going to be a wonderful, extraordinary wedding day. With more smiles and laughter than you can imagine. All the ingredients are there: Everyone you love, all your family and friends, side by side with the love of your life. And the relief and joy you feel that you’re finally all here together, to celebrate:

Oh, and Happy Anniversary, Raewyn and Iman!

And it happens every time:

My favorite part of every wedding day is watching you have fun, and hear you laugh, while I’m cleaning up, and giving further instructions, and checking on the coffee pot, or whatever. Repeating old jokes, creating new ones, kicking off your shoes and heading to the dance floor. And I say to you, “Look what you did, you guys. Look what you created.”

This will also happen at your wedding, I promise. All you have to do is believe it, and you’ll see it, too.
