Cool Wedding Thing of the Week: Ally’s (Surprise, and Virtual) Shower in a Box

Ally, one of my July Brides, wasn’t able to make it back East for a bridal shower. And, since she’s in the middle of her Pediatric residency right now, she couldn’t really throw one in Los Angeles, either. So, her fiance Brian, her sister and her Mom came up with another idea. They sent out invites to everyone who would have come to a shower, with a date and time to hop onto Facetime.com when Ally would be home. The guests shipped gifts to Ally and Brian’s address, Brian hid all around the apartment for weeks, and Ally had no clue (none), until she walked in her living room that day to this ^^^and Brian handed her  two big boxes filled with gifts, with this on top:

…and Ally was able to open all of her gifts in front of her family and friends, and thank them in person. How awesome is that?? I love stuff you come up with. Like I said on Monday, it’s my favorite thing.
