This Thing I've Got About Martha (Los Angeles Wedding Planner)

Talk to me, Miss Stewart, tell me all about it…

I’ve always been a fan of Martha Stewart Weddings – I’ve subscribed to the magazine for the past five years – but that’s kicked into high gear, lately. But, let’s get something straight. I am NOT a DIY girl (the title of my new e-guide notwithstanding). I can craft nothing, and I’m smart enough not to try. I can point you in the direction of someone who can do it, I can give you the time and space you need to do it, I can tell you if it needs to be tweaked, but don’t ask me to drape or color or cut anything, because you will be severely disappointed. Luckily, my assistants are fantastic at that type of stuff, so I’m covered. 🙂 Martha’s stuff is gorgeous. But I know that it comes with a lot of pressure, the pressure of PERFECTION. But I always encourage my couples to forget about perfection and think instead aboutinspiration. Perfection is impossible, but we can all be inspired. Even the things you don’t like get you closer to the thing you’re going to love.  And one of my greatest passions is showing couples how to get there.

To paraphrase Martha herself, I don’t want to just be a wedding planner, I want to be an expert at wedding planning. I like learning what’s out there, so I can show you how to have the best wedding you can – the wedding you want.
